Jacqui de Jong by Fadil Berisha
Jacqui de Jong: Farm Girl —> Cambridge Scholar —> NYC Performer
Jacqui de Jong is a Swedish-Australian actress who earned scholarships to elite boarding schools after growing up on a working farm in East Gippsland, leaving home at 13 to pursue her artistic calling.
From rebuilding fences after bushfires to mastering concert-level piano, from moving livestock to studying Shakespeare at Cambridge University, Jacqui brings a rare combination of authentic grit and classical refinement to her work. Now based in New York City and trained in the Strasberg Method by David Gideon, she’s fluent in Japanese and embodies what happens when farm girl tenacity meets artistic sophistication.
Her vintage-inspired fashion work has been featured in Forbes, and like the pulse of a baby bird’s heart felt through its feathers, Jacqui’s love of life invigorates every project she touches—whether she’s on set, on stage, or creating meaningful art that bridges worlds.
